Mālama

Rooted in the Hawaiian value of “to care for, to protect, to preserve,” Mālama is a men’s retreat focused on providing a safe and supportive environment where openness, brotherhood, and personal growth are at the center.

Mālama

our approach

Men’s mental health and well-being are too often overlooked. They’re expected to stay strong, keep quiet, and carry on – leaving little space to speak honestly without judgment. Our client has a lived-experience and chose to build something different. That vision became Mālama: a place created for men to lay down silence, where vulnerability is met with respect, and where isolation is replaced by connection and brotherhood.

Every part of Mālama’s branding and visuals was shaped to reflect its purpose. The colors were kept on earth tone, giving a sense of calm and purity.  The visual website mockup was made simple to navigate, so men could understand what the place offers, and we have created professionally designed posters that are aligned to the purpose and intent of the brand.

To us, we learned that design can be more than aesthetic problem-solving. When you start with human truth rather than market positioning, you build something that resonates at frequencies people forgot they could hear.

Mālama’s story is still being written, but the foundation we have worked with side-by-side is something meaningful and unforgettable for us.

Visual Touchpoints

Each poster focuses on one clear idea, supported by visuals that stay true to Mālama’s branding and real moments of connection. The use of earth tones, open space, educational, structural, and simple structure keeps everything calm and balanced.  Just a reflection of what the retreat stands for: presence, grounding, and quiet strength.
